Wolves have signed Paulo Alves.

Wolves have taken a gamble on signing promising youngster Paulo Alves, the club has announced.
Alves signed after being released by Liverpool, having signed with the Reds in 2015.
Prior to that he was in Porto’s academy, and so will feel at home at Wolves, where he will be working under Nuno Santo, who used to manager the Primeira Liga side.
Alves, 19, is an attacking midfielder, and while at Liverpool, he has learned from one of the best.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official website last year, he said: “Training at Melwood with the best players in the world is an amazing experience.
“Lucas, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino always talk to me. Watching Coutinho in training, it gives me joy to see the way he plays.”

Alves will link up with Wolves’ under-23 squad and is familiar with the standard, having played for Liverpool’s under-23s.
He still faces an uphill task to make the jump to become a Premier League regular, but the change of scene could be good for him.
If he can start playing like Coutinho for Wolves’ under-23 side, then he might just stand a chance.
