Wolverhampton Wanderers appointed Paul Lambert as their new manager on November 5th.
Paul Lambert spoke to the media today following his appointment as new Wolves boss, and explained how he has never been a manager to set long-term targets, with his immediate priority being their next game, as quoted by the Express & Star.
After a promising start to life under Walter Zenga, the Black Country outfit entered a monumental dip in form, and now find themselves in 19th place in the table – just three points clear of the relegation zone, after a return of just two points from their last seven league outings.

The former Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers boss spoke to the media today, and outlined his immediate target after his appointment as Wolves manager, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“I’ve never really set targets. If you don’t hit them, you lose that feeling of excitement. The next target for us is to win the next game.”
Next up for Lambert’s men is a trip to Lancashire to take on 11th placed Preston North-End, and their fans will be hoping the new manager factor helps inspire their side to a victory that would give them some breathing space on those in the relegation zone below them.

It will by no means be an easy task for the Scotsman, but with his wealth of experience at managing in the Championship, the Wolves hierarchy will be hoping that this appointment will turn out to be more successful than their most recent failed experiment with Walter Zenga.
