West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate could be offloaded during the summer transfer window.

Kouyate has shown he can be a massively important player for West Ham during his time with the Hammers.
The Senegalese international once provided pace and drive to West Ham’s midfield.

However, over the past campaign, the 28-year-old has taken on board a great deal of criticism.
Kouyate was often guilty of not tracking his runner, and he failed to show enough effort.
If the £30,000-a-week midfielder (Daily Star) was to be sold without being handed a chance by Pellegrini it would be a bold step from the Chilean boss.

But it may just be the correct move by Pellegrini, as it would sent out a message about his standards.
Kouyate has allowed his performances to dip recently, and by offloading the midfielder, Pellegrini would be telling the West Ham squad that they simply cannot slack under his management, otherwise they risk being sold.
