Tottenham Hotspur have a prodigious young striker in the ranks……and it’s not Troy Parrott.
Parrott is one of the most exciting teenage hitmen in the Premier League right now but there’s another 18-year-old forward behind him in the academy.
Kion Etete is familiar to some Tottenham fans after his six-figure move to North London from Notts County last summer.
And although he’s yet to make a senior debut, there are signs that he could be a handful for Premier League defences one day.
That’s because Etete is already 6’6 in height [The Sun] and on Wednesday, he scored an absolute worldie in training.
The big man uploaded footage of him rifling one into the top corner from what looks to be around 25 yards out.
And here’s how Lilywhites fans reacted to the goal on Twitter:
Is he anywhere near a senior debut under Jose Mourinho? Well, no.
If Mourinho didn’t think Parrott was ready to step up in place of Harry Kane back in January, then there’s no chande Etete is close to being ready.
The Irishman is ahead of Etete in the pecking order at Hotspur Way and it might be a while before the towering marksman breaks out of the youth teams and catches Mourinho’s eye.
