Tammy Abraham was on loan at Aston Villa from Chelsea last season.

Following the signing of Wesley Moraes in June, The Daily Mail claimed that Aston Villa will check on Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham’s availability later in the summer transfer window.
Abraham spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Villa from Chelsea and played a key role in the Villans clinching promotion to the Premier League via the Championship playoffs.
According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old striker made 40 appearances in the Championship for Villa last season, scoring 26 goals and providing three assists in the process.
Abraham would be a smart signing for Villa in the summer transfer window, but a new report in The Times suggests that Dean Smith’s side will suffer a blow in their quest to being the England international back to Villa Park.

According to The Times, Chelsea are close to agreeing a contact extension with Abraham.
With the Blues under a transfer ban, it will make sense for the Blues to keep hold of the 21-year-old, meaning that Villa will miss out.
