Nottingham Forest last night clinched a deal to sign Mustapha Carayol, with club owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi confirming the deal on Twitter.
Carayol signs from Middlesbrough permanently, which will be to his relief after going on two loan moves last season.
Carayol was on loan at Huddersfield Town last season and then Leeds United, where he impressed for Steve Evans’ side.

The winger was surplus to requirements at Middlesbrough even before they clinched promotion to the Premier League, and he appears relieved to be moving on.
Carayol is keen to get started, but finds himself in a tough spot at Forest, replacing fan favourite Oliver Burke.
The youngster had scored four goals in four starts this season before being sold in a surprise move to Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig for £13 million.

Carayol may not be the only permanent signing at Forest before the transfer window closes, but as a bare minimum, the club will be glad to get a new face through the door already.
