Newcastle United snapped up Joselu from Stoke City this week.
Newcastle United new boy Joselu has taken to Twitter to react after the club’s open training session on Thursday, which drew around 12,000 spectators.
The Magpies made Joselu their sixth signing of the summer this week, having previously landed Florian Lejeune, Javier Manquillo, Mikel Merino, Jacob Murphy and Christian Atsu in what has been an often-frustrating summer for manager Rafael Benitez.

With Daryl Murphy sold to Nottingham Forest, Benitez needed another striker to compete with Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dwight Gayle, and he made the somewhat surprising decision to land Joselu.
Formerly of Real Madrid, Joselu had spells with Bundesliga clubs Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover, notching 29 goals in 90 appearances during his time in Germany – and that was enough for Stoke to snap him up in 2015.
However, Joselu struggled to make an impact under Mark Hughes, ending his first season at the bet365 Stadium with just four goals in 27 games in all competitions, before scoring six times in a loan spell with Deportivo La Coruna last season.
Joselu’s goalscoring record over his career is far from stellar, but Newcastle boss Benitez seemingly believes that he can provide goals for the Magpies this season and beyond, having handed him a three-year contract.

On Thursday, Joselu took part in an open training session at St. James’ Park, which drew a remarkable 12,000 fans ahead of this weekend’s trip to face Huddersfield Town – and the striker caught some attention for a superb volleyed strike during the session.
Afterwards, Joselu took to Twitter to send a message about the training session, stating that he had an ‘amazing time’ in front of so many fans, and already can’t wait to make his debut for his new club.
