Are Aston Villa close to signing their first player of the summer? Their fans think so.
The club’s owner Tony Xia has not been as active on social media as he has been in the past as the Chinese businessman continues to recover from heart surgery.
But the Aston Villa man was his usual cryptic self on Twitter this morning by compiling a tweet using only emojis.
And many of the Villans’ fanbase responded with their own speculation as to what Xia is talking about.
Aston Villa have been linked with plenty of players this summer, as usual, but manager Steve Bruce is yet to get a deal done.
Everybody from Ashley Young to John Terry has been touted to join the West Midlands club.
It is a very big summer for Bruce as he plots to sign the reinforcements needed to challenge for Premier League promotion next season.
Villa finished 13th under him last time around, but he only got the job in October following Roberto Di Matteo’s ill-fated reign in which their promotion hopes were arguably already dashed.
