According to The Daily Mail, a decision on the proposed Newcastle United takeover could be made this week.

It has been reported that the Premier League are nearing an announcement on Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF)’s £300 million deal to buy Newcastle from current owner Mike Ashley.

The report has claimed that it will be a positive decision, and that the proposed takeover will be approved.

Positive for Newcastle United fans

The proposed Newcastle takeover saga has been going on for weeks, and hopefully for the club and the fans, in the coming days, a positive decision will be made.

The St. James’ Park faithful will be looking forward to the announcement, as they wait to head into the new era.

Newcastle are an established club in the Premier League, and the Magpies have a lot of potential.

Perhaps in the coming years, under new owners, Newcastle will be challenging for the European places in the Premier League table.

Back in action

Meanwhile, Newcastle were back in action on Sunday, as Steve Bruce’s side took on Sheffield United at St. James’ Park.

The Magpies won the Premier League game 3-0, thanks to goals from Allan Saint-Maximin, Matt Ritchie and Joelinton.
