The Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, recently added Polster to his options at Ibrox.

The Rangers defender, Matt Polster, has thanked his former club after completing a move to Ibrox.
Polster signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Steven Gerrard’s side at the end of last month and was introduced to the Rangers fans during his new team’s 4-0 win against St Mirren on Saturday.
The 25-year-old had recently reached the end of his Chicago Fire contract, following the conclusion of the 2018 Major League Soccer season.
And posting on Instagram earlier this evening, he wrote: “I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the @chicagofire organization..the staff, my teammates and most importantly the fans.
“I’m excited for this new start overseas and I hope you all continue to support me in chasing this dream.”
Polster is one of five new players to arrive at Rangers in the January transfer window, alongside Steven Davis, Jermain Defoe, Andy Firth and Glen Kamara.
The United States international played against Gerrard while the Rangers manager was with Los Angeles Galaxy, and described him as his ‘childhood idol’ in 2016.
He can play in multiple positions, but has been predominantly used at right-back and central midfield throughout his career.
