Rangers snapped up Benfica winger Dalcio on Tuesday.

Rangers new boy Dalcio has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he is anxious about his move to Ibrox – but believes he can be a versatile option for the club.

The Gers added two new faces last week by bringing in defender Bruno Alves and midfielder Ryan Jack from Cagliari and Aberdeen respectively, and they’ve been busy again this week.

Before confirming the signature of Vitoria Setubal centre back Fabio Cardoso earlier today, Rangers did also announce that winger Dalcio has joined the club on loan from Benfica.

Dalcio, 21, joined Benfica from Belenenses in 2015, but failed to make a first-team appearance for Benfica before his loan move to Rangers, instead spending his time in Benfica’s first team.

Now, Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has gone back to his native Portugal to land Dalcio, in the hope of bringing an attacking boost to his Gers side ahead of the new season.

After completing his move to Ibrox, Dalcio spoke to the Glasgow Evening Times, and admitted that he wants to win titles in order to satisfy the will of the Rangers fans.

Dalcio noted that he is ‘a little bit anxious’ about his move to Glasgow, but ultimately believes that everything will go well as he embarks on his first move outside of Portugal.

He was also asked about his best position, but claimed that he is versatile and can play in a host of positions, wherever Caixinha plays him – though his career would suggest that he has been signed to play out wide, where he can use his pace.

“I realise the club has the need to win and the supporters always want the club to win, but I will leave the pressure off the field before I go onto it,” said Dalcio. “People have already told me to get used to the rain and the weather, but I am prepared to live with that! I want to improve myself, but the main thing is to help the club and my teammates to get the titles the club needs to win this year.”

“I want to help the team and my teammates, and you can count on me to give 100 per-cent on the field. I am a player who can play in many different positions over the field, but I have no single one I prefer. I can play wherever the gaffer tells me to and the important thing is to help the team achieve their goals. I am a little bit anxious. It is a new team with new teammates, but I believe everything will run well,” he added.
