New Norwich City signing Sergi Canos has tweeted his delight after completing a transfer to East Anglia, with the youngster leaving Liverpool after three years at the club.
The talented Spanish attacking midfielder has joined the Canaries on a four-year deal, signing for an initial fee of £2.5 million that could rise to £4.5 million, according to the Echo.
And he revealed on Twitter that he couldn’t wait to get started at his new club, while also reserving a moment to thank the Reds, who he joined in 2013 from Barcelona, and the Liverpool supporters.
Having featured in several age groups for Spain, the 19-year-old will now be given a chance to star for a side much fancied in the Championship next season, coming in for Southampton winger Nathan Redmond, who left Norwich after their relegation.
Canos impressed for Brentford while on loan from Anfield in his last campaign, scoring seven goals in 39 matches during what was his first proper season as a first team player.
It led some to believe the Spaniard was ready to be brought into the Liverpool first team this season, especially with Jurgen Klopp blooding so many midfielders last year.
But it is the Canaries who will be benefitting from the inevitable development Canos will make, after agreeing to move to Carrow Road.
