Tottenham‘s seemingly never-ending search for a manager continues to roll on and social media rumours that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is the latest name to be the ‘preferred’ option for Spurs has prompted a mixed reaction from fans of the North London side.
After being turned down by a host of names so far, Spurs now seem to be throwing names into a tombola to pick their next option to replace Jose Mourinho in the hotseat.
Gerrard’s fantastic record at Rangers has seen the Ibrox boss linked with a host of Premier League sides in recent months and it seemed inevitable his name would come up for the Spurs job.
With a title win under his belt, Gerrard’s stock has risen considerably as a coach but it seems doubtful he’d walk away from Ibrox to take charge at Spurs, given his long-stated desire to one day take charge at Liverpool.
