The former Ajax man cannot wait to start life in England.

Middlesbrough summer signing Viktor Fischer has told the club’s official website that he cannot wait to play against against some of the greatest teams in English football this season, and admitted he is particularly looking forward to facing Tottenham Hotspur and his close friend Christian Eriksen.
Fischer joined Boro earlier this summer on a four-year contract after leaving Dutch side Ajax and will get his first taste of English football as the Teeside club return to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old is regarded as a superb young talent after scoring 33 times in 111 games from midfield for the Eredivisie club following his step up from their academy in 2012.

In Amsterdam he played alongside Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen for a year before his teammate moved to White Hart Lane, and he has also lined up alongside the 24-year-old for the Denmark national side.
Fischer and Eriksen will be reunited this season when Boro and Spurs face each other home and away in the Premier League, and Fischer singled out the meetings with his former teammate as a highlight of the campaign to come.

Fischer told the Middlesbrough website: “There are so many big matches, that’s one of the reasons you come here. We all know the big clubs, Chelsea, [Manchester] United, Liverpool, Arsenal – those are all really big games.
“For me the game against Tottenham, and Christian Eriksen, a really good friend of mine, is going to be really exciting.”
Fischer, who joined the Ajax academy in 2011, will also come up against other former teammates from the Dutch giants in the form of defenders Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen when he faces Spurs this season.
He does not have too long to wait for the reunion, with Boro hosting Spurs at the Riverside on 24 September.
