New Middlesbrough midfielder sends message to Millwall fans.

George Saville of Millwall

New Middlesbrough signing George Saville has sent a message to Millwall supporters to thank them for their support during his time at the club.

Saville left Millwall to sign with Boro at the loan deadline, signing a deal which will become permanent in January.

Millwall will receive £7 million when the permanent deal is finalised, with the Northern Echo reporting they felt the offer was ‘too good to turn down’.

Saville last night thanked Millwall fans for their support during his spell in south London.

Former Chelsea trainee Saville was an important part of Millwall’s success last season as they came close to landing a play-off spot.

Last season he struck 10 goals in 44 league games.

His new side Middlesbrough currently sit inside the automatic promotion spots after a good start to the season and they bolstered impressively at the end of the loan window, also adding Muhamed Besic and Danny Batth along with Saville.
