Paris Saint-Germain starlet Kays Ruiz-Atil could join Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea after Arsenal failed to strike a 2020 deal for the highly rated forward, as reported by FootMercato.

It felt like only a matter of time before reports emerged linking some of PSG’s brightest talent with the west London giants.

But rather than Marco Verratti or Mauro Icardi, it’s Ruiz-Atil who faces an uncertain future at the Parc des Princes.

The so-called ‘new Lionel Messi’ was given his senior debut by none other than Tuchel in September – three months before the German was sacked and replaced by Mauricio Pochettino at PSG.

Ruiz-Atil hasn’t even made the match-day squad since Pochettino’s arrival and, with his contract expiring in July, FootMercato believes a lack of opportunities under the former Tottenham boss could push him into the arms of Tuchel once more.

Chelsea held talks with the youngster’s entourage in 2020 and may be on the phone again sooner rather than later.

Arsenal expressed an interest in Ruiz-Atil last year, as reported by FM. With the former Lyon and Barcelona youngster hurtling towards free agency, the Gunners will be watching developments closely.

But the presence of Tuchel in the Stamford Bridge dugout means if Ruiz-Atil is going to swap Paris for London, expect him to end up in blue rather than red.
