Liverpool’s Sadio Mane joined the club from Southampton in the summer.

New Liverpool signing Sadio Mane says he doesn’t feel any pressure to perform despite joining the club from Southampton for a hefty transfer fee during the summer, the Mirror report.
The Senegal international joined the Reds for a reported £30 million (Liverpool Echo), a fee which makes him the most expensive African footballer to have played in the Premier League.
Many supporters and observers alike questioned the fee considering Mane only joined the Saints in the summer of 2014 for around £10 million (the BBC), but that is the market we now live in.

When asked about his transfer fee, the 24-year-old says he doesn’t feel any added pressure to perform before thanking the club’s supporters for their support over the past six weeks.
“It’s normal in football. People will talk about it (the transfer fee) but I don’t feel the pressure,” Mane told the Mirror. “I have always believed in my quality and I know what I can do for my team.”
“I just try to work in training every day and give my best for the club and for the fans I want to thank everyone for all the support I’ve had from the fans and from the club.”

Mane notched an impressive 21 goals in 67 league appearances while playing for Southampton, and he opened his Liverpool account on his official league debut in the 4-3 win at Arsenal.
The Reds have begun the campaign with four points from three away games, and the Merseyside club will face Leicester City at Anfield next weekend following the international break.
