Leeds United new boy thanks Juventus.
Leeds United completed the signing of versatile star Ouasim Bouy last week, tying him to a four-year deal.
Bouy signed after spending several years under contract to Juventus, where he worked under current Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
He spent most of his time out on loan from the Italian side, including spells with Palermo and Dutch club PEC Zwolle.
Despite this Bouy is hugely grateful to Juventus and wrote an emotional message to the club on Instagram last night.
It read: “It’s time for a new chapter after 5,5 years.. Playing with and learning from champions was always a dream for me. I want to thank @juventus and all the fans that always supported me during my time as a player of the club !”
Last week Bouy had written of his excitement at joining Leeds, commenting: “Happy to announce that I have signed a 4 year contract with @leedsunited ! #ready #2021.”
Bouy has a year to wait before joining up with his new Leeds teammates, as he has been sent out on loan already.
He will pay this season at Spanish second division club Cultural Leonesa.
Bouy can play in both central defence and in central midfield and hopes to show he deserves a role in the Leeds first team squad next season.
