Leeds United signing Mateusz Bogusz speaks out.

Mateusz Bogusz of Poland passes the ball during UEFA Under-17 Championship Elite Round Group 3 match between Poland and Republic of Ireland on March 27, 2018 in Legnica, Poland.

New Leeds United signing Mateusz Bogusz has been speaking to Ruch Chorzow’s website about his move to the club.

Bogusz’s transfer to Leeds was announced by the Whites on Monday.

Initially touted as an under-23 addition, Bogusz says there is a clear plan for him to progress to the first team, possibly even this season.

Bogusz told Ruch Chorzow: “I will be training and playing in the under-23 team, but I was told that I will also participate in the first team’s activities.

“The club’s plan is to prepare me for the constant presence and play in the first team during the first half-year.

“Everything depends on me, of course.”

As Bogusz points out, it depends how quickly he can adapt.

Leeds are cleverly giving him the carrot of potential first team football to try and help him really focus and kick on.

He made 20 appearances for Chorzow’s first team this season, scoring five times.
