Leeds United’s newest addition Mateusz Klich has been speaking to the website Twente Fans following his move to Elland Road.

The 27-year-old became Thomas Christiansen’s first signing since he took charge earlier this month, and given his creativity Klich is expected to go down a storm at Leeds once he gets his feet under the table.

That said, he will clearly miss the players he has left behind in the Netherlands.

“I really miss my teammates at FC Twente, especially (Kamohelo) Mokotjo of course,” he told twentefans.nl. “I will speak to the personally.

“If I get the chance to visit I will certainly come back to the Grolsch Veste again. But I do not know when that will be.”

Klich only spent one season at Twente but the club clearly left its mark, and after the player scored six goals and provided four assists in 30 outings they will also have to find another attack-minded midfielder to replace him.

Leeds lacked sufficient goal threat from the centre of the park last season and it is no surprise that Christiansen has acted quickly to recifity that ahead of the new campaign.

More creativity is expected to be added in due course and, if Leeds sign all the players they have been linked with over the last few days, their fans should be in for a very exciting campaign.

The Whites fell short under former boss Garry Monk. However if Christiansen hits the ground running, 2018 could be a stellar year for Leeds and their long-suffering supporters.
