Leeds United have added the exciting young forward to their ranks.

New Leeds United signing Caleb Ekuban has been speaking to LUTV following his summer switch, and it is clear how excited he is to get started at Elland Road.

The 23-year-old signed for the Whites from Italian side Chievo, having impressed on loan at FK Partizani last time out, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists in 42 appearances.

“It’s quite a pleasure because it is a dream that is coming true,” Ekuban told LUTV. “Ever since I was a little boy I always hoped to get into a club like this and this is a great club.

“Immediately when I had the interest of Leeds United I cancelled all my other options and said this must be the move.”

Leeds have impressed with their summer spending to date and it seems their work is not done yet, with the Yorkshire Evening Post suggesting that Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski could follow sooner rather than later.

With Mateusz Klich, Madger Gomes and Felix Wiedwald already in place, along with permanent deals for former loanees Pontus Jansson and Hadi Sacko, Leeds are looking very much on the up.

New Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen had been backed by Andrea Radrizzani, who has put his money where his mouth since taking sole ownership of the club, and with a new centre-back and a replacement for Charlie Taylor at left-back, they could look back on a job very well done.

Leeds narrowly missed out on a play-off place last season and here is hoping they go one better in 2018.
