Ian Wright has praised Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka on Match of the Day on BBC One following his performance against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners legend believes that Arsenal and Switzerland international midfielder Xhaka has got a new lease of life.
Mikel Arteta’s side got the better of Tottenham 3-1 at home in the Premier League.
Xhaka scored the Gunners’ third goal midway through the second half.
The £100,000-a-week (Spotrac) midfielder was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park and played a massive role in the Gunners winning the North London derby against Tottenham.

Ian Wright on Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka
Wright said: “You see Xhaka, Xhaka’s new lease of life, Martinelli, Saliba playing like they have got Infinity Stones.”
Impressive
In our view, Granit Xhaka is one of the best players at Arsenal and is a leader on the pitch.
The Switzerland international is showing a remarkable degree of maturity at the moment, and his performances level are very high now.
Now, of course, there will always be an element of doubt with the 30-year-old in terms of his temperament, but things are going well for him at the moment.
