Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United could now be able to sign Andrea Belotti on a free transfer following his departure from Torino.
Torino Granata reported in April that Newcastle and West Ham United are interested in signing Belotti this summer.
And now Newcastle could be able to secure the services of the Italy international striker on a free transfer.
Torino announced on their official website today that Belotti is leaving as a free agent after his contract ran out.

Newcastle target Andrea Belotti becomes free agent
“Dear Andrea, we acknowledge your decision to begin a new experience, from today we take different paths,” reads the statement on Torino’s official website, as translated by The Athletic.
“We spent seven seasons together, which, in modern football, represent a very solid bond. We always shared with the same passion joys and sufferings, emotions and disappointments.
“We thank you for everything you gave us. Proud of what you have become for Toro, we salute you by wishing you good luck in the continuing of your career.”
Andrea Belotti is an Italy international striker who had been at Torino since 2015, and we think that he would be a good signing for Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, especially on a free.
Now, Torino are a modest club in Italy, and we cannot really expect any striker playing for the Turin club to bang in the goals for fun.
As reported by The Athletic, Belotti scored 113 goals in 251 games for Torino.
That is quite an admirable record.
Given that Belotti would cost nothing in transfer fee, we think that Newcastle should at least try to bring the Italy international to St. James Park this summer.
