Everton have secured the signing of the talented attacker but he will spend next season on loan in Belgium.

There is no doubt that as of today, Everton have completed the best transfer business so far this summer, and whatever happens between now and September, the Toffees should be commended for going in hard, fast and, most importantly, smart.

While Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez are getting ready to kick off the new campaign at Goodison Park, Henry Onyekuru will remain in Belgium despite swapping Eupen for the Toffees.

Everton will loan the 20-year-old to Anderlecht for the first year of his five-year contract, and the Nigerian has been photographed at the club’s training base ahead of an important summer of integration and fitness-building.

Onyekuru scored 24 goals and provided nine assists for Eupen last season and with that ind of record it is no surprise Everton have swooped.

He will continue his development at Anderlecht and the club were quick to welcome him to their training camp with a Twitter post.

Now it is up to the winger-cum-striker to maintain his impressive form, before heading to Everton in the hope of being a regular starter from the outset.

By then Everton could be a Champions League club, such has been their impressive recruitment drive and the ambitions of their manager Ronald Koeman.
