Leeds United fans have reacted on Twitter to the latest statement from the English Football League – and many of them are saying the same thing.
The Whites are top of the Championship and boast a seven-point cushion in the automatic promotion places.
But there’s yet to be any real clarity on whether Leeds are going back to the Premier League.
The EFL has previously stated its intention to finish the 2019-20 campaign when it’s safe to do so, and they revealed on Wednesday that they have written to clubs advising that a retun to training shouldn’t happen before May 25.
For the most part, the statement didn’t shed any light on what would happen to the Championship season.
And here’s how fans of the Elland Road club reacted to it on Twitter.
It’d be a disaster if Leeds are denied promotion; mainly for the fans, who have been waiting 16 years to get back to the Premier League, but also for the board.
Owner Andrea Radrizzani has previously revealed that a return to the top flight is worth up to £200 million for United, which is a hell of a lot of money to miss out on.
