Luis Suarez has posted on his Instagram story ‘all the best in this new chapter’ to Newcastle United’s, Kieran Trippier.

The England right-back sent his best wishes to his former Atlético de Madrid on his birthday on Monday.

And Suarez responded with this following message to the man that swapped a title battle in La Liga to a relegation fight in the Premier League.

“Thank you, my friend,” wrote Suarez. “All the best in this new chapter.”

Many would have questioned why Trippier swapped firing balls in for Suarez to trying to help Joe Willock get off the mark for the Premier League season.

But the Englishman, slowly but surely, is starting to showcase his effect from the right flank as was proven at the weekend.

Trippier was one of the best players as Newcastle United recorded all three points at Elland Road.

Whilst it still lands Eddie Howe’s side in the relegation zone, it’s certainly positive signs for those worried faces in the North East.

After players return from their mini winter break, the Magpies will lock horns with managerless, Everton.

There are question marks as to whether the Toffees are in a relegation battle, well if they suffer a defeat at St James’ Park, then there will be no doubt.
