Celtic new boy can’t wait to take on rivals Rangers.

New Celtic signing Olivier Ntcham has told the club website he is excited to take on rivals Rangers this season.

Ntcham sealed his move to Celtic from Manchester City earlier today, and said that he is also determined to win trophies, a chance he felt he did not get at former loan club Genoa.

Ntcham said: “It’s a nice feeling to be here at Celtic and I want to win everything at Celtic as I have never won a trophy before.

“I’m most looking forward to the derby and playing in the Champions League. I remember them beating Barcelona five years ago in the group stages.”

If winning trophies is Ntcham’s main goal – and it should be – he is at the right club.

Celtic just won a domestic treble, and have won six Scottish Premiership titles in a row, setting them on course to reach a record setting 10.

Ntcham, 21, signs on a four-year deal and hopes to establish himself as a household name, having never been given a first team chance at Manchester City.

Celtic last season loaned Patrick Roberts from Manchester City, and previously had John Guidetti and Jason Denayer on loan.

Young defender Dedyrck Boyata also signed for Celtic after his contract at City expired.
