New Queens Park Rangers signing Idrissa Sylla has expressed on Twitter his delight at joining the R’s from Anderlecht.
Sylla agreed a three-year deal at Loftus Road on Tuesday, having previously been linked with a move to Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
And the Guinean striker posted: “I am excited to join QPR. This is a really exciting move for me. Come on #QPR!”
QPR paid a reported £1.75 million to land Sylla, who will wear the number 40 shirt at Loftus Road.
The 25-year-old scored 10 goals in 43 Anderlecht appearances, including three from eight this season, following productive spells at Zulte Waregem and FC Le Mans.
He becomes the R’s sixth summer capture after Ariel Borysiuk, Joel Lynch, Jack Bidwell, Jordan Cousins and Yeni N’Gbakoto and could make his debut at home to Blackburn Rovers a week on Saturday.

Prior to his arrival in west London, Sylla had long been linked Wolves. However, a delay in the club’s takeover by Fosun International is said to have scuppered his chance of a move to Molineux (Telegraph).
The Black Country club have since moved on to other targets – one of whom, Icelandic forward Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, is said to have been on QPR’s radar (Sun).
