Everton were the better side on Wednesday evening and deservedly picked up all three points against Newcastle.
Results and performances under manager Sam Allardyce in recent weeks have been very encouraging and positive, and worries over relegation to the Championship are now in the past.
The Toffees could well now start looking to challenge for the top seven or the top eight in the Premier League.
