Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has been linked with Everton in the summer transfer window.

The Everton legend, though, believes that the former Manchester United winger will be better off at the Toffees.
As reported by The Telegraph, the Merseyside made a bid for the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international, but the Eagles turned it down.
Southall does not envisage Zaha joining Everton in the summer transfer window, but the former Wales international goalkeeper believes that the Toffees would have been a step-up from Palace for the attacker.
Sporting Life quotes Southall as saying about Zaha: “I don’t think he’ll [Zaha] go to Everton full stop, but it would have been a good a signing for us [Everton].
“I think coming from Crystal Palace, Everton would be a step up and I do think if you look at what we have coming in the future, Everton would have been a better long-term prospect, but I don’t think the transfer is going to happen.”

Step-up?
Palace are an established club in the Premier League, but the Eagles do tend to fight for survival, whereas Everton have lofty ambitions of breaking into the top six in the Premier League.
The Toffees are going places, and Zaha would be a good signing for Marco Silva’s side, and the player himself would be taking a step-up by moving to Goodison Park.
According to WhoScored, Zaha made 34 appearances in the Premier League for Palace last season, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists in the process.
