Phil Jagielka’s goal in the 10th minute proved to be the difference between the Toffees and the Gunners.

Encouraging
Everton are not having a great season overall, but the Toffees’ performance against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon was very good and very encouraging.
The victory has enhanced Marco Silva’s side’s chances of finishing seventh in the Premier League table this season.
The Toffees are ninth in the league table at the moment with 46 points from 33 matches, just a point behind seventh-placed Leicester City.
Everton will return to action next weekend when they take on Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in London in the Premier League.
