Everton signed Jordan Pickford from Sunderland for £30 million yesterday.

Steven Pienaar and Neville Southall have both sent messages to Everton new boy Jordan Pickford on social media website Twitter.

Everton snapped up Pickford from Sunderland yesterday, in a club record deal.

Everton are believed to have paid £30 million to sign the highly rated 23-year-old stopper (Daily Mail).

And former Toffees Pienaar and Southall have both sent good luck messages to Pickford.

Pickford is expected to go straight into Everton’s first-team upon signing for Ronald Koeman’s side.

Both Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenburg struggled for form over the past campaign, with Koeman making the addition of a new goalkeeper one of his main priorities this summer.

Pickford put in some brilliant displays last term, but he was unable to keep Sunderland in the Premier League.

Pickford was one of two signings which Everton made yesterday, with Davy Klaassen also joining from Ajax.

The Toffees are expected to make further additions, with Koeman determined to add quality to his squad at Goodison Park.
