‘Never thought’: Some Ajax fans react to the latest Tottenham and Ten Hag update

Ajax fans have shared their thoughts on Twitter after rumours emerged that Tottenham have scheduled a meeting with their manager, Erik ten Hag.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed on his Twitter account that Spurs, who are searching for a new coach after sacking Jose Mourinho, see Ten Hag as a potential candidate to be their new boss.

A ‘direct meeting’ has been scheduled and the 51-year-old is seemingly open to leaving Ajax.

This may well just be the type of coach Spurs fans have been craving for, but not one that the Ajax faithful want to lose.

Not only is Ten Hag delivering trophies in Holland, but it’s the style in which he is doing it which is key.

That was a huge talking point under Jose Mourinho’s reign, who was heavily criticised for not playing progressive football with this Spurs team.

Well, if Ajax’s man on the touchline swaps the Johan Cruyff Arena for North London then it would be some appointment.

Plus, a man willing to give youth a chance, and why wouldn’t you when you are Ajax boss, it does seem the perfect fit for Spurs, who need refreshing from top to bottom.
