Loris Karius has been speaking to Fabrizio Romano about all things Liverpool, and he had some kind words for Mohamed Salah.

What’s the story?

Well, the £4.7m goalkeeper revealed that he’d never seen something like Salah’s incredible 2017/18 campaign, following his £34m move from Roma.

The Egypt international remarkably scored 44 goals in 52 games for the Reds, and Karius was clearly impressed.

Speaking on Twitch, the German said: “The most impact I’ve seen is Salah in the first season, he was winning games for us. I’ve never seen something like this. Mo gets on with everyone, he’s very hard working. He deserves it.”

It’s also pleasing to hear that Salah gets on with everyone at Liverpool.

In truth, it would be a surprise if anyone at Anfield had an issue with the 29-year-old, seeing as he carries the Reds at times almost singlehandedly.

So far this season, the ex-Chelsea man has scored nine goals in nine games – his consistency is quite incredible.

Will Liverpool hand Mohamed Salah a new contract?

As well as he’s playing, some Liverpool supporters may not be able to enjoy watching Salah right now with his future up in the air.

The Liverpool No.11 has entered the final two years of his deal, and there is yet to be any progress over fresh terms.

According to The Athletic, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are not keen to meet his £300,000-a-week demands, as they don’t want to upset the wage structure.

In our view, none of Salah’s colleagues would have any issues about him receiving that salary – he deserves it, in all honesty.

If Karius is right, and Salah does get along with everyone, then that only makes us more confident that none of his teammates would kick up a fuss.

Anyone at Liverpool who doesn’t believe Salah deserves £300,000-a-week has clearly been living under a rock for the last four years.
