Speaking on the England YouTube channel, Kieran Trippier has been waxing-lyrical about Manchester City’s Phil Foden.
The defender was taking part in a challenge where he was tasked with naming his dream five-a-side team, and in the middle of the park, he wanted Foden in his side.
What’s been said?
Trippier picked Foden in his side.
“In these tight five-a-side games you need somebody like Phil,” Trippier said.
“You know he’s going to do something special in those moments, and for such a young age, I’ve never seen a player like him.”

Right decision
We can’t argue with Trippier’s decision to pick Foden in his team.
The Man City star is unbelievable on the ball, and in a five-a-side game he’d flourish due to the fact the games are played in such tight spaces.
Foden is one of the best dribblers in the Premier League, he knows every trick in the book and he’d be able to run a five-a-side game with ease.
We have to imagine that many of the best five-a-side players in the England side would be coming from Manchester City with the likes of Jack Grealish, Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling being prime candidates.
Foden is certainly a special talent, and the Atletico Madrid man seems to recognise that.
