Jermaine Jenas has admitted to BT Sport, during their live Europa League coverage, that Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane has totally shocked him.
Kane has now reached 200 goals in a Tottenham shirt, after heading home Spurs’s first in their 3-1 victory over Ludogorets last night.
The England captain once again showed his finishing prowess, as he got on the scoresheet early on.
And Jenas admits that he didn’t immediately see the potential that Kane had to become a superstar.
“He’s an absolute machine in front of goal,” the former Spurs midfielder exclaimed.
“I never saw this coming when he was a youngster at Tottenham. It’s an absolute credit to him, how hard he’s worked to become the player he is.”
In truth Kane could have had a hat-trick last night, even though he was only on for 45 minutes.

The Spurs front-man missed a great chance in the first minutes of the contest, and he also couldn’t generate enough power in a header from close-range after being teed up by Gareth Bale.
Kane could still reflect on a good night’s work after the game though, as Tottenham cruised to success in Bulgaria.
Tottenham have now taken six points from their first three games in Europe, and look to be in a strong position in their group.
