Stevie Nicol says it’s the end of the road for Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, as he told ESPN.
The Anfield legend added that Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson ‘never plays 90 minutes’ anymore, whilst he also spoke about letting centre-back Joe Gomez go, even though Joel Matip can’t play back-to-back matches and Virgil van Dijk is injured.
Both James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are out-of-contract in the summer and it doesn’t seem like they will renew their current deals.

It’s understandable for someone like Milner because he is 37, but for Oxlade-Chamberlain, it’s going to be a sad end to a career on Merseyside that has been blighted with injuries.
The Liverpool midfield is the one that is expected to have the biggest overhaul during the next two transfer windows.
And one of their former players can’t even see someone like Henderson, who has been integral to the club’s success over the years, playing a part in that.
“The fact that Henderson never plays 90 minutes anymore has to tell you something,” said Nicol. “So, you would have to say that.
“Milner, obviously. The Ox (Oxlade-Chamberlain). You kind of have to think Gomez. But then, if you let Gomez go, then Matip can’t play two games on the trot and Virgil van Dijk is injured.”

LIVERPOOL’S MIDFIELD
Whilst Jude Bellingham is the obvious name being thrown about to join the Merseyside club, they still need other names than the England star himself.
Not only that, they need someone this month, plus, they also need to prepare for the worst and that’s losing out on his signature.
That’s where the Reds, just like they have done with their forward line over the years, need to be clever in the market, or else, it could prove to be a long-term issue.
