Well, the Milan Skriniar train might’ve come and gone for Tottenham Hotspur, it would seem.
The Inter Milan stalwart was heavily linked with a move to Spurs during the summer transfer window and again in January.
According to Calciomercato, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was refusing to pay more than £30 million for the big centre-back.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed this week that the North Londoners remain keen on the 26-year-old.
Problem is, he is now worth closer to £65 million – £15 million more than what the Serie A outfit were reportedly looking for him last summer.
In other words, if Tottenham are genuinely still interested then Levy will have to spend £35 million more than what he was prepared to pay last time around and given the Lilywhites supremo’s history of tough negotiating, that seems unlikely.
