Leeds United had an afternoon to forget as they lost to Brighton for the second time this season, but one man who received a lot of praise on social media was Ian Poveda.
The diminutive winger came off the bench, and as ever, he was a bright spark, running at players and trying to make things happen whenever he gets on the ball.
The Whites struggled going forward against the Seagulls, but perhaps if Poveda had started, Leeds would’ve been able to create more.
Poveda is certainly a raw talent, he has all of the pace in the world and the dribbling skills to bamboozle any opposition defence.
With Raphinha out injured, Poveda may get more chances in the coming weeks, and to be honest, that’s something we’d love to see as he’s such an exciting player to watch.
Leeds may have played rather poorly against Brighton, but Poveda was a bright spark who deserves all of the plaudits he’s been receiving.
