Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter as Cesc Fabregas reunited with Tomas Rosicky.
The AS Monaco midfielder posted on Twitter that it was ‘nice to see this old friend’ and ‘amazing guy’.
Rosicky spent ten years at Arsenal and he would have shared some great moments with Fabregas out on that Emirates turf.
Technically gifted, an eye to score a superb goal, the ability to pick out a pass like they have a Playstation controller in hand, they had some talent at their feet.
And whilst Mikel Arteta craves for those types of players today, Arsenal fans were sharing how great the duo were in North London.
Whilst Fabregas is still going strong in France’s top-tier, Rosicky hung up his boots four years ago.
The former Czech Republic international left Arsenal in 2016 – and it has to be questioned whether a player of his ilk has been replaced?
The Gunners may have declined from being Premier League title winners to challengers and top-four material when Rosicky was around.
But at least they used to compete near the top and play in the biggest competition of them all.
Forget about the Champions League, forget about the Europa League, Arsenal cannot even qualify for the newly-formed Europa conference league now, that’s how bad things have become.
Either way, hopefully, some of Arsenal’s new stars can take some of the magic that Fabregas and Rosicky used to produce because it’s much, much needed.
