Aaron Wan-Bissaka managed to impress Scotland, England and even some Arsenal fans alike with his performance for the Three Lions’ Under-21s on Tuesday. The Crystal Palace right-back was appearing for only the second time at that level, having made his debut in last month’s 0-0 draw against the Netherlands.

And he has yet to concede a goal for Aidy Boothroyd’s aide after last night’s 2-0 win over Scotland U21s at Murrayfield.

As far as some people are concerned, a senior call-up might not be too far away for Wan-Bissaka – whose professional bow for Crystal Palace came less than eight months ago.

And a couple of Arsenal fans have already set their sights on the Crystal Palace academy product…

The Arsenal-owned winger Reiss Nelson gave England the lead from a direct free-kick midway through the second half, before the Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell completed the scoring in stoppage time.
