Mousa Dembele is reportedly set to leave Tottenham Hotspur.

Quite a few neutral fans on Twitter are surprised by the latest report about Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are set to sell the powerful Belgian midfielder to Beijing Sinobo Guoan in the Chinese Super League.

But that isn’t the surprising part.

Sky Sports also report that Spurs will be getting only £9 million for the former Fulham star, who joined the North Londoners back in 2012.

Dembele, who has missed most of this season through injury, has been a hugely-influential player for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino in recent years.

And a lot of supporters on Twitter seem shocked that the 31-year-old is going so cheap.

Here is their reaction:

It seems like a brilliant bargain, and it’s certainly a good deal for the Beijing outfit, but there is a reason why he’s going for that amount.

Dembele, who hasn’t kicked a ball for Tottenham since November when he lasted only six minutes in the win at Wolves, turns 32 this summer, and he’ll also be out of contract.

Despite his immense talent, he just isn’t all that valuable to the Lilywhites because of his age, injury history and length of his contract.
