The Spurs ace appeared to push his forehead into the face of Cesar Azpilicueta during Wednesday night’s Premier League loss.

Tottenham Hotspur may have succumbed to a painful 2-0 defeat away at Chelsea on Wednesday night but there is some solace in the shape of Harry Kane facing no further action following his confrontation with Blues captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
In the first half of the Premier League London derby at Stamford Bridge, Kane appeared to push his forehead into the face of Azpilicueta after the latter confronted the Spurs skipper during a break in play.
The England captain could have faced a potential three-match ban for violent conduct but, as reported by multiple media outlets including Sky Sports News, referee Andre Marriner reported that he saw the confrontation, which means that the player will not face retrospective action.
As a result, Kane is eligible to play in Saturday’s North London derby against rivals Arsenal, with Tottenham seeking to get back on track following two consecutive league defeats, having also lost to Burnley last weekend.
The decision not to pursue disciplinary action towards Kane may have made a lot of Spurs fans happy but some supporters of other clubs were not as pleased, as some Twitter comments made clear:
