The agent of Juventus goalkeeper Norberto Neto has commented on interest from Everton.

The agent of Juventus goalkeeper Norberto Neto has told Sport Witness that there is no chance of a deal with Everton after they tried to sign him in the summer.
The Toffees added a host of new faces over the summer, and having lost Tim Howard to MLS side Colorado Rapids, manager Ronald Koeman swooped to sign a goalkeeper he knows very well in Maarten Stekelenburg.

Having worked together at Ajax and Southampton, Dutchman Stekelenburg was brought in as an experienced goalkeeper to replace Howard, and he’s started the season ahead of Joel Robles as Everton’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Despite Stekelenburg’s decent performances so far, he is now 34 years old, and Everton may be looking for a more long-term solution between the sticks.
Intriguingly, during the summer transfer window, Calcio Mercato reported that Everton were interested in signing Juventus goalkeeper Norberto Neto – just one of a number of goalkeepers to be linked with a move to Goodison Park.

Neto, 27, made his name with Fiorentina following a 2011 move from Atletico Paranaense, and after 72 appearances for La Viola, he moved on to their Serie A rivals Juventus in 2015.
Serving only as the backup to Gianluigi Buffon, Brazilian shot-stopper Neto played just three times in his first season with Juve, and has been linked with moves away to get first-team football.

His agent Stefano Castagna has now been asked about the situation, telling Sport Witness that Everton were keen on Neto – but has completely ruled out any possibility of a future move to Goodison Park.
“Yeah, in the summer,” said Castagna when asked whether Everton had moved for Neto. Castagna was then asked whether there was a possibility of a future deal with the Toffees, but he replied by saying; “No, absolutely no.”
