Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen picked up an injury last night.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen sustained an injury in Holland’s international friendly against Belgium.
Janssen was substituted in the first half after Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet inadvertently punched him in the head when coming for a cross.

Netherlands boss Danny Blind spoke to De Telegraaf after the game and was quizzed over Janssen’s status, with the team set to face Luxembourg in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday, while Fenerbahce’s Jeremain Lens also picked up an injury.
He said: “As it stands now, Lens has no chance and Janssen apparently too. Tomorrow morning we should see more. They are losses.
“It is about one game, I’m not sure I’m going to call up additional players. If it turns out that I have not found the solution, I will add one.”

Holland should feel confident that they have the players to beat minnows Luxembourg without Janssen, and it is a positive for Tottenham that it appears they are unlikely to risk him.
The injury suffered appeared to be a concussion, and while he could remain with the Dutch squad, it is just as likely at this point that he could be sent back early to Tottenham Hotspur to recover.
It is unlikely the injury would be enough to cause him to miss next weekend’s Premier League match against West Ham, although Janssen is expected to be on the bench in any case, providing Harry Kane comes through England’s match with Scotland unscathed.
