Most Valuable Promotions has shared a new update about their debut MMA event.
Ngannou’s return to the cage was initially planned to be against Rico Verhoeven, but not everything has stayed on track ahead of the 16th May show.
The event line-up was well-received when it first dropped, but as always in this sport, plans can fall apart before fight night arrives.
Lorenz Larkin pulling out last week left Jake Paul’s promotion needing to find a replacement on short notice.

Jeff Creighton steps in for Lorenz Larkin to fight Jason Jackson on May 16 on Netflix
Lorenz Larkin was due to take on Jason Jackson in a welterweight contest on May 16, but an injury has forced him to pull out of the event.
Jackson responded by saying he trusted MVP to find him a new opponent so he could remain part of the first MMA card streamed live on Netflix.
MVP has now confirmed that switch, bringing in Jeff Creighton (12-2-1) as Jackson’s replacement at the Intuit Dome.
Creighton hasn’t lost since falling to Max Rohskopf under the Cage Warriors banner back in 2021, a run that’s helped him build momentum into this opportunity.
In March of last year, Creighton appeared on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ season 33 as part of Daniel Cormier’s team but was eliminated in the semi-finals via split decision. He followed up by beating Diego Bianchini by unanimous decision at LFA 223 in November, further adding to his credentials.
His upcoming opponent, Jackson, is a former Bellator welterweight champion who hasn’t fought since dropping a split decision against Thad Jean last June.
