Four of Arsenal’s most talented youngsters trained with the first-team today.
Arsenal held their final first-team training session today ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s Premier League game at home to Newcastle United, with four youngsters in attendance.
Winger Reiss Nelson, who is widely seen as Arsenal’s standout prospect, trained with the squad, with the 18-year-old likely to be involved in some capacity when the Gunners host West Ham United in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals next week.
Meanwhile, forward Eddie Nketiah was also called upon. An exciting prospect who hit a brace against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup earlier this season, the England youth international has been hugely impressive for Arsenal’s U23 side this campaign.
Midfielder Joe Willock also trained with the first-team having made significant progress this season, during which he has featured in the Europa League.
The other youngster selected for inclusion was Josh Dasilva. The versatile prospect started out as a forward and had a spell at left wing-back earlier in the campaign but has excelled as a central midfielder recently.
Arsenal supporters will hope that at least one of the aforementioned quartet will be able to make a full time breakthrough into the first-team in due course.
