Neil Warnock has claimed that Davinson Sanchez was ‘thinking of Valentine’s Day’ during Tottenham’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves on Sunday, as he told talkSPORT.
The English coach added that Sanchez wasn’t on this planet, as he slammed his performance during a second loss of the week for Spurs.
Antonio Conte’s side have now lost three Premier League games on the bounce and they are pulling further away from the Champions League places.
There aren’t many Spurs players who can hold their heads high and Sanchez is certainly one that isn’t getting much love.
And Warnock was pretty critical of the lack of desire and fight that the London club showed.
“When you talk about Conor Coady,” said Warnock. “The players that you mentioned at Spurs have far more ability than him.
“But the one thing you can’t put a price on is that desire. That passion and you’re not going to get beat. I don’t care how good you are. If you don’t have that desire, then it would take you everywhere you want to be.
“These lads haven’t got the desire. I looked at Sanchez yesterday and I think he was thinking about Valentine’s Day. I just don’t think he was on the planet.”

Sanchez isn’t the only one under the spotlight and, once again, his performances have been questioned.
The issue facing the 25-year-old is that he has had to deal with similar problems under different managers.
So, sometimes it’s not the man in the dugout who is the issue, but those donning the shirt on a weekly basis.
Someone like Joe Rodon has hardly been given a shot by Conte and it’s high time the Wales international was considered by his manager.
