Neil Warnock is backing Sheffield United ahead of Leeds United in the promotion race.

Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has told talkSPORT that he thinks Leeds United will miss out on automatic promotion to Sheffield United.
Norwich City are the favourites to win the Championship title having opened up a four point lead, with many now feeling that there’s a two-way battle for second place.
Sheffield United currently occupy that spot after a superb season under Chris Wilder, with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds sat in third place, just a point behind the Blades.
Last weekend, Sheffield United made the trip to Elland Road in a crucial game, and came away with a huge 1-0 win thanks to Chris Basham’s second half goal.
Wilder’s men are now in the driving seat for second place, and Leeds must attempt to climb back above them before the end of the season.
One man with a foot in both camps is Warnock, who was born in Sheffield, grew up supporting United and then managed the club, before going on to manage Leeds too.

Unsurprisingly, Warnock is backing his boyhood club to come out on top, predicting that Leeds will miss out on second place to Sheffield United.
Warnock feels that Leeds are a little soft at the back sometimes, meaning they will miss out in his opinion and drop into the play-offs, but he did praise Leeds as a great club whilst also hailing the job done by Marcelo Bielsa.
“I think they’ll be very, very difficult to push out of that top two,” said Warnock. “I do yeah [think Leeds will miss out]. I just think Leeds have got a soft belly at times at the back, when they’re under pressure, in comparison to the other two. I do think that those two will be the favourite, but Leeds, what a club. They fill the stadium every game whatever division they’re in, they’re just so desperate to get back in to the Premier League, he’s done a good job, Bielsa,” he added.
