West Ham United are not doing well in the Premier League at the moment.
Former Leeds United manager Neil Warnock suggested on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, September 23, 2016) that the London Stadium is proving to be a problem for West Ham United.
West Ham moved into the London Stadium at the start of the season after leaving the Boleyn Ground at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
The Hammers have been in disappointing form so far this season and find themselves third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment.
Former Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace boss Warnock believes that playing at the London Stadium is affecting West Ham and their manager Slaven Bilic.
“I don’t think the new stadium has helped him because I think the Boleyn Ground with the atmosphere, the fans right on top of you, Slaven pacing up and down that dugout area,” said Warnock while discussing Bilic’s situation on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, September 23, 2016).
The London Stadium is quite different from the Boleyn Ground, and it is clear that the West Ham players are still adapting to it.
Things are not looking good for the Hammers at the moment, but the fans should remain optimistic.
Bilic is a very good manager, and he will turn things around at West Ham. A top-six finish in the Premier League this season is still possible for the Hammers.
